Myles Garrett drops chilling ‘Loading’ hype video before Rams debut
Few debuts are more anticipated entering the 2026 NFL season than Myles Garrett’s first game in a Rams uniform.
Hours before Garrett was scheduled to make his Rams debut against the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia, the star pass rusher released a cinematic hype video designed to send chills down the spines of fans.
Garrett captioned the video, “Loading …”
It opens with a shot of Huntington Bank Field, his former home with the Cleveland Browns. In the lower-left corner, a newspaper clipping reads, “Myles Garrett traded to Rams,” alongside a photo of Garrett wearing his old Browns uniform.
A gust of wind lifts the clipping and carries it through the air until it sticks to a wall. Garrett then undergoes his own transformation as the Browns uniform gives way to Rams colors.
The ensuing highlight montage begins with reigning NFL MVP Matthew Stafford throwing a touchdown pass to Davante Adams in the end zone before Puka Nacua makes a one-handed catch against the Carolina Panthers.
The focus then shifts to the defense, with highlights featuring safety Quentin Lake, a Byron Young sack and a forced fumble by Nate Landman.
Around the 35-second mark, three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald, who recently came out of retirement, appears pointing toward his ring finger during a game against the 49ers.
Near the end, the word “loading” flashes across the screen as Rams players run out of the tunnel. A slow-motion shot of newly acquired cornerback Trent McDuffie follows before the video closes with Garrett wearing his Rams uniform and staring directly into the camera.
Garrett’s long-awaited debut comes three months after the Rams acquired him in a stunning trade and one year after he set the NFL single-season record with 23 sacks while generating 79 pressures.
Garrett and Donald were merely the largest splashes in a busy Rams offseason.
Los Angeles also retooled its secondary by acquiring McDuffie in March before signing Jaylen Watson, who spent his first four NFL seasons alongside McDuffie with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Now Garrett and Donald will finally join forces on the Rams’ star-studded defense.
The Rams and 49ers are scheduled to kick off Friday at 10:35 a.m. in Melbourne. The game will air Thursday at 5:35 p.m. PT.
