LeBron James reveals guilty pleasure on latest golf excursion

LeBron James is a big “cookie guy.”

The four-time NBA champion revealed he is somewhat of a cookie connoisseur during a trip to the Portage Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

“I’m a cookie guy, for real,” James said. “Like chocolate chip cookie, my favorite.”

James tried the golf club’s famous “Kitchen Sink” cookie, which the 41-year-old gave a glowing review of the popular dessert.

“That’s a good a– cookie,” he said after taking a bite.

James launched his golf YouTube channel last month after signing a two-year, $8 million deal with the 76ers. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer and his crew play rounds at some of the greatest courses in the world, dine at local restaurants and more throughout each episode.

The latest golf excursion by James took place in his hometown, where he hosted a reunion with some of his high school and childhood friends.

“Yo, they say there’s no place like home, and that’s absolutely true. Akron, I’m happy to be back. Ohio, I’m always happy to be back,” James says at the start of the video.

Despite only launching the golf channel a few weeks ago, James already has more than half a million YouTube subscribers. While the veteran remains one of the premier faces of the NBA, it’s clear he’s taking up golf as a frequent hobby in the twilight of his career.
