Alexander Zverev’s girlfriend Sophia Thomalla drops 4-word flex after US Open win

Alexander Zverev defeated Ben Shelton in the U.S. Open final on Sunday, marking the second major tournament victory Zverev has secured this year after having won none during his career before 2026.

It didn’t take long for Sophia Thomalla, Zverev’s longtime girlfriend, to celebrate his victory on social media. She did so with a post to her Instagram story, reposting a graphic of Zverev’s U.S. Open trophy and the one he received at the French Open earlier this year.

“He did it again! ❤️,” Thomalla’s caption wrote.

Thomalla is busy with her own career and was not able to attend the U.S. Open. But she’ll surely take time to celebrate with the German tennis star as soon as they’re able to be back together.

Zverev had a reputation of not being able to perform on the biggest stages before winning the French Open earlier this year. But that reputation now feels like it’s firmly in the rearview mirror after adding these two trophies to his mantle.

The U.S. Open is the final major tournament this year, which means Zverev will need to wait until 2027 before he can pursue a victory at the Australian Open or Wimbledon.

In the meantime, Zverev, Thomalla, and the two dogs they share together will be able to celebrate this most recent victory.
