A yellow school bus with no children aboard went out of control and slammed into an apartment building in Brooklyn Thursday morning, cops and sources said.

The vehicle first struck a tree and then careened into a service road before ramming into the side of the building on Eastern Parkway near Albany Avenue in Crown Heights around 7:20 a.m., according to police and law enforcement sources.

The bus screeched and sent a puff of smoke into the air on impact, dramatic video shows.  Video showed masonry from the structure falling on the to the bus.

The 65-year-old man behind the wheel was unscathed, and refused medical attention on the scene, authorities said. 

The facade of the building, through, was left in bad shape, photos show.

It was unclear where the driver was headed when he crashed.

The unidentified driver was initially hauled off in cuffs, but cops confirmed several hours later that he would not be charged. 

The cause of the collision remained unclear Thursday evening.
