Alexander Zverev’s girlfriend Sophia celebrates ‘2-day offseason’ in bikini photo after US Open triumph

The U.S. Open marked the final major tennis tournament in 2026. But that doesn’t mean the season is over, even for the U.S. Open’s men’s singles champion.

Alexander Zverev defeated Ben Shelton in the U.S. Open final last weekend, marking Zverev’s second major tournament win this year after having won none in his career before.

Zverev’s longtime girlfriend, Sophia Thomalla, celebrated his victory on social media afterward. It also appears that the couple took a brief vacation in the wake of this win, which Thomalla posted about on Instagram on Wednesday.

She posted a black-and-white photo of her and Zverev posing on a beach together with the caption, “Day 2 of our 2 day off season 😂”. Thomalla was wearing a bikini in the photo, while Zverev was shirtless and rocking swim trunks.

Thomalla is a successful influencer and television show host in Germany and therefore wasn’t able to witness either of Zverev’s major championship matches in person.

But she has taken time off to celebrate with him on both occasions. And several reports indicate that the couple’s two-day vacation this week took place in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

The ATP is heading to Asia, with several tournaments scheduled there over the next month before the season closes in Europe.

It sounds like Zverev will continue to compete and isn’t taking much time off during the most successful season of his career to this point.
