It’s been a big weekend on Paramount+. Not only does the Season 3 finale of Lioness drop on Sunday, September 20, but the streamer’s popular Tom Hardy-led crime drama MobLand has finally returned for Season 2.

Unfortunately, we can’t say the same for Taylor Sheridan’s Landman.

We do, however, have some exciting news to report about the show’s upcoming third season. Lioness star Michael Kelly has joined the show as a new series regular. Per Deadline, the former Jack Ryan standout will play William Crockett, a titan of industry who leads the largest oil management firm in the world. Love it. Pitch-perfect casting.

We still don’t have an official release date, but we do have an idea of when to expect new episodes. Back in late July, James Jordan, who plays Dale on Landman, told Decider that production on Season 3 would start in “about a month.”

“I get messages on Instagram every day asking about Landman,” Jordan said. “We know that the audience cannot wait. We’re going to get to work on that and try to get it out as soon as we can.”

The show has started casting extras for Season 3 in the Fort Worth area, with the series looking for people to work on September 24 and 25. With production most likely continuing through early 2027, our best guess is that the third season of Landman will debut in mid-to-late 2027 on Paramount+.
