Look, if we’re being honest, you don’t have to look very far to find all the negative anecdotes you like (and more than a few that you won’t like) about the Jets and their tormented, torturous history. Sometimes, they come right to you. 

This little nugget, for instance: Did you know that since 1960 there have been 23 teams who have finished a season with only one win. Would you like to guess which franchise has been the benefactor for those woebegone teams the most? 

(Well, we wouldn’t bring it up if it wasn’t …)

Yes. The Jets. They’ve done that odd trick four times: 1968 (Buffalo — and think of it: They did this in the year the Jets won the Super Bowl!); 1972 (Houston); 1980 (New Orleans); and 1991 (Indianapolis). The next closest is the Colts with three.
