In a recent Instagram post, the 69-year-old actress shared photos from her week at the VIVAMAYR Maria Wörth health resort in Austria, which included pictures of her in a black one-piece swimsuit.

The photos show Griffith lying on a lounge chair with one leg bent and her arms up on the armrests on a dock, with the lake and mountainside scenery behind her. Her blonde hair is tied up in a messy bun and she accessorized with black sunglasses.

She followed in her mother, actress Tippi Hedren’s footsteps, and her own daughter, Dakota Johnson, followed in her footsteps, also choosing to pursue a career as an actress.

Dakota has spoken in the past about how growing up with famous parents influenced her career choice. She told Vogue Germany in 2025, she wanted to be an actress since she was a kid and “be a part of what the people around me were doing.”

“As a child, I was obsessed with movies,” she said. “I was the kid who watched the same thing over and over again for a year. I think that shapes your imagination and what you think is possible for yourself, especially when you watch movies with other children, like ‘Mary Poppins’ or ‘Home Alone.’”

Although she comes from Hollywood royalty, her father being “Miami Vice” actor Don Johnson, she did not have an easy start when it came to her own career.

“For a couple of years it was hard to make money,” she admitted. “There were a few times when I’d go to the market and not have money in my bank account or not be able to pay rent, and I’d have to ask my parents for help – I’m very grateful that I had parents that could help me and did help me. But it certainly was not fun. The auditioning process, as you know, is the f—— worst.”
