The Tennessee Titans have their work cut for them in Week 2.

Following a disappointing 23-10 loss to the New York Jets last Sunday, Cam Ward’s club will attempt to rebound today against Jalen Hurts’ 1-0 Philadelphia Eagles at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.

“There’s a lot of weapons on that football team,” Tennessee head coach Robert Saleh said. “Defensively, they’ve got explosive players all over the place. It’s going to be a tremendous challenge.”

Nick Sirianni’s stable squad — they’ve made the playoffs in eight of their nine last seasons — is coming off a squeaker of a win over the Commanders in Week 1.

“Really good job,” Sirianni, who became the fifth NFL head coach in history to win his first six season openers, told the team in a postgame locker room speech. “We were resilient and played good…football.”

Interestingly, Tennessee and Philadelphia don’t meet often on the gridiron. Their last skirmish was back in December 2022 when Hurts’ 380 yards and three passing touchdowns led the Birds to a commanding 35-10 victory.
