The Peter Krause primetime drought is over!

More than a year after the beloved actor departed from his long-running role on ABC’s 9-1-1, where he played Captain Bobby Nash for eight seasons, Krause is returning to network TV on a new family drama opposite Hope Davis: Line of Fire.

“A family of law enforcement agents bridges personal differences and crosses professional boundaries as they tackle cases for the FBI, US Marshals, Secret Service, and Department of Justice,” NBC’s official Line of Fire synopsis reads. “After a seemingly cut-and-dry case turns into a deadly conspiracy, they must use the expertise from a lifetime of protecting civilians and politicians to protect one another and bring the killer to justice … even if it means betraying their sworn code.”

The thrilling series comes from creator and writer Joshua Safran (Gossip Girl, Quantico, Smash), who also serves as executive producer alongside Jenna Bush Hager, whose life as first daughter helped inspire certain aspects of the show.
