She’s traded “Bills, Bills, Bills” for books, books, books.

Michelle Williams revealed that she’s a sophomore at Regent University studying psychology — “because y’all need help!”

The Destiny’s Child alum, 47, shared the news on Instagram Tuesday, posting a selfie in a green Regent University T-shirt and a pair of glasses.

“Chiiiiiiiiile, your girl is back in school!! 💚” she captioned the photo.

Williams admitted that she initially “talked [herself] out of posting” the announcement, keeping it from even her family and friends “because of the intrusive thought, ‘What if you don’t finish?’ 💙”

She continued, “I’m going to finish, and I’m going to finish strong. 💚”

The Grammy winner also revealed that she’s in her second year of studying psychology, joking, “because y’all need help! LOLOL (just kidding … kinda).”

“My advisors and professors have been awesome!! 💙” she added. “Pray for my endurance and focus! 💚”

The announcement was met with an outpouring of support in the comments, prompting Williams to pin a comment of her own.

“I see all the comments and I want to respond, but I gotta go read!!” she wrote. “I love you all!! PS: I’d love some study tips, for sure!!”

One of the messages of support came from Williams’ fellow Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland, who wrote, “My Love!!! You GOT THIS!!! It goes without saying, my heart is so full!! This is YOUR TIME! 🥹🥰♥️”

Williams is fresh off her run as Viola Van Horn in “Death Becomes Her,” which closed on Broadway June 28.

In November 2024, Rowland and Beyoncé, both 45, supported Williams at the musical’s opening night, with Beyoncé later sharing photos from backstage, including a snap of herself and Rowland hugging Williams.

More recently, the trio sent fans into a frenzy when they reunited for their first performance together in seven years at the final stop of Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour in Las Vegas, Nevada, in July 2025.

They performed some of Destiny’s Child’s throwback hits, including 2001’s “Bootylicious” and 2005’s “Lose My Breath,” before Rowland and Williams joined Beyoncé for her 2022 song “Energy.”
