The road to recovery is a bit murky for Jaxson Dart and questions about the player that he will be when he eventually returns have already started to pop up after he suffered a season-ending knee injury in the Giants’ loss to the Rams on Monday night. 

Multiple reports have indicated that Dart avoided damage to his ACL, but suffered damage to his left MCL, PCL and meniscus that forced the Giants to shut him down for the rest of the regular season. Giants coach John Harbaugh did not rule out a return for the postseason, but orthopedic specialists who spoke with The Post on Wednesday indicated that there were a number of variables that will play into Dart’s return. 

When Hackensack University Medical Center vice chairman of orthopedic surgery Dr. Yair Kissin first saw video of the hit on Dart, he described it as “tape that gives you the willies.” 

“Just from the right angle you can see what happened,” said Dr. Kissin, who has not examined Dart. “Anyone who has, sees that that’s a pretty significant impact that [Dart] had. … I’m not surprised that there are other associated injuries with this.”
