49ers star Nick Bosa to miss ‘a few weeks’ with sudden leg injury
The San Francisco 49ers received brutal news regarding one of their top players on Friday.
Edge rusher Nick Bosa pulled his calf during the 49ers’ practice on Thursday and is expected to miss “a few weeks”, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Bosa, 28, has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, and San Francisco is determining whether to place him on injured reserve. If they do so, he’ll have to miss at least four games before being able to return.
The timing is this injury is unfortunate. Bosa tore his ACL during the 49ers’ Week 3 game last season, which required surgery and sidelined him for the rest of the season.
Bosa, who was San Francisco’s No. 2 overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, has three solo tackles this season for the 2-0 team.
