One Packers fan was in hell as team collapsed — while star player whines about boos
A Packers fan was going through it — and at one point, checked her pulse — during Green Bay’s embarrassing blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons in their home opener Thursday night.
Prime Video cameras captured the blonde woman visibly stressed as Green Bay trailed by 20 points in the fourth quarter.
She was seen with her hands on her face before she checked her pulse and let out a sigh while in the stands at Lambeau Field.
Packers fans booed the team en route to falling to 1-2.
After Green Bay’s 35-14 loss, Packers tight end Tucker Kraft said it was disappointing to hear the boos at home and that it didn’t help rally the team.
“That’s pretty tough. Like, everyone pictures Lambeau Field and not boos,” Kraft said. “I don’t picture boos. I picture my home stadium. That’s tough. It’s pretty disappointing, especially for a home opener.
“It’s not going to help us win. Like, I don’t know what people think that’s going to rally us or something like that. But that’s — we’re grown men. We’re mentally strong enough, capable enough to get back on the field and play ball. But it’d probably much easier with the 70,000 people behind us rather than opposing us.”
The running game (nine carries, 17 yards), protection breakdowns, dropped passes and missed throws all contributed to the Packers’ nightmare outing.
Falcons running back Bijan Robinson went off, tallying his third career game with 200-plus scrimmage yards.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur repeatedly described the loss as a “butt-whoopin’.”
It was the largest home loss under LaFleur and the first time he dropped to 1-2 as a head coach.
Green Bay’s only win in Week 2 against the Jets was in part due to some curious decisions by Gang Green.
The Packers came out victorious 20-17 in extra minutes at MetLife Stadium.
The Packers next play the winless Buccaneers in Tampa on Oct. 4
