Think of a country that happily harbors Islamist terrorists — a nation so morally brain-dead that it rolls out a red carpet for Islamo-wackos.

You’re probably imagining Qatar, or Afghanistan, or some other desert state where extremists are madly hailed as heroes.

Well, you need to update your list of nutjob nations and add another one that welcomes in Koran-wielding loons. 

It’s called the United Kingdom.

However bad you think things are in Britain, I’m here to tell you they are far, far worse.

The latest news from our once-great island is truly shocking.

According to The Sunday Times of London, British officials granted asylum to a known Hamas operative — who allegedly plotted a savage act of antisemitic terrorism while he was here.

Read that again: Britain provided a Hamas lowlife with a base from which to plot a jihad against Jews. 

We gave a onetime member of an avowedly antisemitic death cult a safe space in which to plan the slaughter of innocents.

If this doesn’t convince the world that Britain is lost, nothing will.

The brilliant sleuths at The Sunday Times who uncovered this horror show found that the Hamas activist — who, for legal reasons, can only be referred to as Mr. X — came to the UK more than a decade ago.

He had served as a bodyguard for Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas who was sent to Hell by an Israeli airstrike in 2024.

Mr. X’s father was also a top Hamas dog.

Most alarmingly of all, Mr. X had previously been arrested in Egypt for smuggling guns into Gaza.

All this was public knowledge when Britain granted him asylum.

British officials knew of his intimate links with an anti-Semitic army that dreams of Israel’s destruction.

Yet still they gave him asylum.

Still they granted him citizenship.

Still they bought his claptrap about suffering “oppression” in Egypt. 

Listen, being arrested for smuggling lethal weapons across borders is not oppression — it’s justice. 

The British state took such pity on Mr. X that it even provided him with social housing.

He then got a job as an IT consultant. 

How he must have laughed at us: He was a key cog in the Jew-hating machine of Hamas, and yet Britain said: “Come on in! Have a house!”

Then things got really dark.

In November last year, Mr. X was arrested on suspicion of plotting a massacre of Jews in Germany and Austria.

German authorities describe him as an “essential” figure in the Nazi-like plot.

The murderous scheme was reportedly “overseen by senior figures in Hamas.”

Believe it or not, it gets crazier: A British judge granted Mr. X anonymity for 100 years.

That’s because he also faces charges in a separate criminal trial, and the judge was worried that other trial might be “prejudiced.” 

I know what you’re thinking: This sounds like a storyline even the best satirist of wokeness couldn’t make up.

But it happened.

A Hamas creep was allowed into Britain.

He was given citizenship.

He allegedly plotted Jew murder.

And then a judge said we were forbidden from even saying his name until the year 2125.

The Sunday Times, bless it, has challenged the anonymity order and will soon be free to name this evildoer.

Thank God for the free press.

Remarkably, though, this isn’t a one-off: Britain has flung open its doors to other Islamists, too.

Muhammad Sawalha, a one-time leader of Hamas in the West Bank, came here in the 1990s. 

He’s still here, despite a US indictment saying he never stopped working for Hamas and has taken part in “secret talks about ‘revitalizing’ terrorist acts” against Israel.

It’s obscene: Israel fights for its life against Islamist ideologues, and we give those ideologues refuge.

Five alleged terror plotters arrested near an RAF airbase Sunday were incredibly released on bail within hours — despite their suspected ties to Iran.

Britain has granted asylum to numerous members of the Muslim Brotherhood as well. 

Not for nothing is our capital city now known as “Londonistan.” 

It’s because we’ve let in so many Islamo-hotheads, who then preach their bigoted drivel to young British Muslims. 

Things are so bad that the UAE no longer lets its young study in the UK, for fear they’ll be radicalized on our campuses.

The first duty of the state is to protect its citizens from harm, to fortify the borders and keep out dangerous ideologues.

Britain has catastrophically failed at that task. 

It has recklessly endangered British Jews by flooding the country with Islamists, and it has made life a minefield for British women by importing rough young men from regressive lands.

It’s time to end this suicidal indulgence of Islamism.

Britain and the rest of the West should know by now that radical Islam is the greatest threat we face.

Don’t pity it — destroy it.
