Twenty years after TV’s most notorious extreme makeover show “The Swan” aired, former contestant Kari Bravata claims that she “almost died for reality TV.” She spoke with Page Six about the new Hulu doc, “The Swan: Behind the Mirror.” Director Erin Lee Carr also told us: “I think it was one of the most sadistic reality shows of all time.” In 2004, the short-lived, controversial Fox show took ordinary women who felt like “ugly ducklings,” and transformed them into “swans,” by giving them plastic surgery on TV.
