Is the Tom Cruise Movie ‘Digger’ Streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?
Tom Cruise is covered in prosthetics in Digger, the new dark comedy from Oscar-winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu, which opens in U.S. theaters this weekend. Like Tim Robinson in I Think You Should Leave, there is simply too much sh– on him.
Directed by Iñárritu, the critically acclaimed Mexican filmmaker known for his Oscar-winning movies like Birdman and The Revenant, Digger was written by a team of writers that includes Iñárritu, Sabina Berman, Alexander Dinelaris Jr., and Nicolás Giacobone. The plot follows a greedy, egotistical oil tycoon named Digger Rockwell (Cruise), who is tasked with solving the impending world-ending disaster that his company caused.
Also starring Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Jesse Plemons, Digger has received mixed-to-bad reviews from critics. Currently, the film is setting at a 50 percent rating on the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes. But we know you want to see the movie for yourselves. Read on to find out when and where to watch the Digger movie, including when we expect to see Digger streaming on HBO Max.

Is the Digger movie streaming on Netflix?
Digger is not streaming on Netflix and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Warner Bros. release, will have a streaming home on the Warner Bros.-owned streaming service, HBO Max. If you want to watch the new Digger movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on HBO Max.
If you’re new to HBO Max, you can sign up for as low as $10.99/month with ads, but an ad-free subscription will cost $18.49/month.
If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the discounted Disney+ Bundles with Hulu and HBO Max. With ads, the bundle costs $19.99/month and without ads, $32.99/month.
When will the Digger movie be streaming on HBO Max?
You might see Digger streaming on HBO Max later this year, around mid-December 2026.
All the new WB theatrical movies end up streaming on HBO Max, though the wait period has varied by title. Supergirl, for example, was released on digital about one month after opening in theaters, and began streaming on HBO Max about two-and-a-half months after it was released in theaters. If Digger follows a similar release pattern, you may see Digger on digital around early November 2026, and streaming on HBO Max around mid-December 2026.
But that’s pure speculation. The Warner Bros. home releases have varied by title. If you want to see Digger right away, your best is to catch the movie in theaters.
