KILLER APP: Chinese AI company Moonshot AI has launched an internal investigation after a researcher found that one of its models could be manipulated into providing instructions for developing biological weapons and carrying out assassinations, Fox News senior foreign policy correspondent Gillian Turner reported Thursday.

HIDDEN DELIGHTS: Users digging into President Donald Trump’s new AI-powered America.gov discovered a series of hidden features embedded across the federal platform, including a “Minecraft”-inspired response and a search bar that transforms into a hot dog.
OPINION: The legacy media have decided we are facing mankind’s doom. The phrase “AI apocalypse” crops up on numerous news sites, from Reuters to The Economist. Other outlets have gone with “AI doomsday” or other formulations that look like they come from Revelation.
COMMERCE TECH: Meta on Tuesday unveiled a version of its Muse artificial intelligence (AI) agent for small businesses.
OPINION: Despite the recent surge in AI doomerism, President Donald Trump is right to maintain his strong support for data centers. As he notes: “China couldn’t be happier” if we were to turn our backs on these centers as a nation, which would effectively let the Chinese Communist Party win the AI race.

OFFICIAL OVERHAUL: President Donald Trump on Tuesday signed an executive order directing the federal government to replace the term “artificial intelligence” with “Super Intelligence” across the executive branch, cementing a rebranding effort he has championed in recent weeks.
DIGITAL DANGER: A Tennessee grandmother has filed a lawsuit against a North Dakota city and police department, accusing officials of wrongfully detaining her for nearly six months after allegedly misusing artificial intelligence facial recognition technology to investigate a bank theft case.
OUT OF THE BOX: Nvidia on Monday announced the release of software safety tools for artificial intelligence (AI) agents that it said would’ve stopped the hack of Hugging Face by rogue OpenAI agents.

BOT TO THE FUTURE: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., painted a grim picture of an AI-powered future Sunday, claiming that wealthy elites want to eliminate jobs, hoard resources and make Americans increasingly dependent on artificial intelligence.
BYTE BATTLE: America’s AI race against China, which has become a major point of debate as midterm elections approach, is a race filled with “coordinated” propaganda, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, warned.
