We have some exciting news for Mayor of Kingstown fans: Multiple seasons of the series are about to drop on Netflix! But what’s the latest on the fifth, and sadly final, series of the Jeremy Renner-led fan favorite? Season 4 spoilers ahead.

The final installment follows FBI agent Russell Hardy (David Morse), who arrives in Kingstown following the murder of Mike’s (Renner) sister-in-law. Per Paramount, Agent Hardy “threatens to disrupt the tenuous balance of power in Kingstown.”

Nestor Carbonell has also joined the cast for Season 5, with Edie Falco, Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, David Morse, Necar Zadegan, Nichole Galicia, and Lennie James all returning.

When Does Mayor of Kingstown Season 5 Come Out?

The Mayor of Kingstown Season 5 release date has yet to be announced, but production on the final season concluded in early July. Season 4 production ended at the beginning of June 2025, with the season debuting on October 26, 2025.

The show’s return date has a lot to do with Paramount+’s remaining 2026 schedule. MobLand has returned; Tulsa King and Dexter: Resurrection will be back later this month; and the final season of Yellowjackets drops in November. The third season of Landman just started production, so that won’t be back until the middle of 2027 at the earliest.
