The player had the ball and was racing, alone, from darn near the north end zone all the way into the south end zone. The clock was ticking down, down, down and the Giants were going to win it. 

If the player went down, the final score would have been 30-24 and that would have been just fine for the home team. Deonte Banks could have slid down onto the turf and that would have been that. 

That was not enough for this player. He was not going down. 

“No, f–k it, no,” Banks said. “I was going for the touchdown.”
