Lamar Jackson gets injury update after angry reaction to play he got hurt on

Lamar Jackson’s ankle injury is something to watch going forward.

Jackson left the stadium with a protective boot on his left foot, and he is now headed for an MRI exam to determine the severity of the injury, according to several reports on Monday morning.

One of the league’s best quarterbacks posted an angry emoji, along with a clip of a 29-yard scramble for a first down, in a social media post on X as the Ravens beat the Titans, 24-18.

Jackson showed off his classic elusiveness on the wild run shortly before halftime, though the Ravens star was hit below the knee on his run before spiraling out of bounds.

The run was negated by a holding call on rookie receiver Elijah Sarratt.

Jackson was tackled, and his ankle got caught underneath his opponent’s body weight in the process, and he now deals with a lower-body injury.

After the game, Jackson did not speak to reporters though his coach Jesse Minter revealed that they’re hopeful that the injury isn’t serious.

“Yeah, he was just dealing with a little bit of an ankle, we hope,” Minter said postgame. “I don’t know enough about it right now. But we’ll have to see where that’s at.”

Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley relieved him, and he would be the next man up if Jackson is forced to miss any time.

Huntley went 8-for-9 for 63 yards in relief duty and rushed for 16 yards on four carries.

The Ravens, who are off to a 3-1 start, take on the Falcons next week on “Sunday Night Football” in Atlanta.
