The two words that don’t need to define this Giants season
There is so much about these Giants to get everyone excited.
The record (3-1) is fantastic. Their standing in the NFC East (alone in first place) is somewhat remarkable, considering what the Eagles and Cowboys are supposed to be and what the Giants most recently have been.
The John Harbaugh coaching era is off to the start ownership hoped. And that long-lost snap, crackle, pop and roar when Deonte Banks made the game-sealing interception in the closing seconds on Sunday and punctuated his moment with a 98-yard pick-six was a throwback sound from the halcyon days, when this franchise brought fans to their feet with such exploits.
When the happy noise subsided, though, the two words that feel tethered to all things 2026 Giants rang out in too many conversations and chats and inner thoughts.
