‘Pretty Little Liars’ star Keegan Allen shows off battered, stitched-up face after brutal attack in LA
“Pretty Little Liars” star Keegan Allen has revealed he needed stitches on his temple following the terrifying armed robbery he fell victim to in Los Angeles.
Allen, 37, took to his Instagram Stories on Saturday to a share a close-up photo showing two cuts on his face that required sutures, adding that he was “healing” and promising to share more updates soon.
“Thank you to medical team at [sic] and law enforcement and everyone reaching out ❤️,” he wrote.
The “Walker” actor was robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint Thursday night outside upscale grocery store Laurel Supply in West Hollywood.
In an Instagram video, Allen described how he was ambushed by two masked men who threatened to kill him before stealing his watch.
“These two dudes hit me in the head and pointed a gun at me with a knife, and then took off,” he said in the clip, appearing bloodied across his face, neck and clothing. “They had masks on and took my watch. They took my watch. Dammit.”
Allen also included security footage of the attack in the video, which appeared to corroborate his account and showed two masked men approaching him in the parking lot as he appeared to be loading items into the back seat of his truck.
In the caption, the actor declared that “West Hollywood is not safe anymore” and seemingly took aim at Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom over their approaches to tackling crime.
“Let’s hope all these flock cameras that (Karen Bass), (Gavin Newsom) and everyone thinks will stop crime can find these very dangerous criminals,” he wrote, adding, “God bless.”
911 dispatch audio exclusively obtained by Page Six captured Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies communicating about an “assault” at 8445 Santa Monica Blvd., the address of Laurel Supply, shortly before responding to the scene just after 9 p.m.
A rep for the LASD told Page Six that a call for service was placed for a “robbery.”
“Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult who stated he was approached by two male adults dressed in black clothing. One suspect pointed a silver handgun at the victim while the other pointed a knife and demanded the victim’s watch and bracelet,” the rep said in part.
Allen “sustained a laceration to his forehead” and was medically evaluated by the LA County Fire Department, which also responded to the scene. He was ultimately not transported to the hospital.
Video exclusively obtained by Page Six showed law-enforcement officers leaving Allen’s residence Friday afternoon, less than 24 hours after the attack.
A deputy at the scene told Page Six that the investigation was “ongoing.”
