Torrie Wilson reminds everyone that she still has it, Sydney Sweeney's Halloween costume idea & Texas loses
Cal Gets Schooled on
Cal is left befuddled when callers keep phoning him up about sports he has never heard of, including a certain one played by wizards.
A then and now social media post from a few days ago documenting Torrie Wilson’s decades of commitment to excellence caught her eye on Saturday. She responded to remind everyone that she still has it.
She and the streets have an agreement with one another after all. An agreement to never forget one another. It’s her unapologetic approach that hasn’t been, and I think I speak for everyone when I say, hopefully she won’t ever be forgotten.

It’s why the streets came forward in the first place to voice its allegiance with her. It will forever defend the WWE Hall of Famer’s bikini greatness.

Obviously, part of what I do every week is highlight greatness in its many forms. I can’t get too caught up in one area or another. I wouldn’t be performing my duties if I did that.
Sometimes we’re on the golf course or in a stadium. Sometimes we’re at the beach and sometimes, like this Sunday, we’re taking a trip to 1999 and back with a legend of the ring like the one and only Torrie Wilson.
May she keep her promise to the streets as the streets keep its promise to her.
It was a tough week for the Top 25
It was a week to forget for many teams in the Top 25. Which means it was a decent week for me. The unranked upsets of the ranked is all I have this year.
While Penn State hung in their at home against No. 19 USC, the Nittany Lions lost their third straight game on Saturday. Their season, which was already over, is heading into complete disaster territory quickly.
But here is where I found my joy. Both the No. 25 ranked team and the No. 1 ranked team lost their games this weekend. This kind of misery warms my heart.
No. 25 Pittsburgh was handed its first loss of the season to unranked UNC at home. Yes, the Bill Belichick-led Tar Heels went on the road and won the game against a ranked opponent 21-17.
That’s just the beginning of the fun. No. 16 Florida lost for the second week in a row. This one was at home to unranked South Carolina and, like their loss last week, this one wasn’t close either. The Gamecocks won 38-19.
KENTUCKY COACH WILL STEIN TELLS WILDCATS PLAYERS ‘IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE IN WHAT WE’RE DOING, YOU ARE HIGH’
You really hate to see that. As much as you hate to see another team that now has their second loss of the season, No. 13 Oregon, lose at home to No. 21 UCLA, 17-15. So far so good, but the losses somehow get even better.
I don’t know what we’ve done right, but we were gifted not one, but two Top 10 teams losing to unranked opponents. And they’re two teams sickos really enjoy watching lose too.
No. 10 LSU was taken to overtime on the road by unranked Kentucky and were handed their second loss of the season, 35-34. But nothing tops No. 1 Texas, so close to being back they can almost taste it, losing the Red River Shootout.
Their first loss of the season came at the hands of unranked rival Oklahoma and two costly interceptions by Arch Manning contributed to the Longhorns’ 27-24 defeat. Man, you really hate to see that. Better luck next week to the Top 25.
Bigfoot article
– Christopher writes:
Mr. Joseph,
This is a joke, right?
Why would you write something like this? Maybe to help support such nonsensical entertainment, right? That last statement is simply just wrong. Wrong because this is supernatural folklore.
And to end it with, “There you have it. Another credible account of a Bigfoot encounter. This one from a lookout on the back roads in Kentucky. Is there much evidence? There doesn’t need to be.”
Instead of asking an uneducated person in which you “trust” or “believe”, why not simply ask an expert? Try to get an opinion from a local paleontologist or someone who studies biology, at least.
This article is wrong on so many levels for it to be published on Fox News.
Have some self-respect, for God’s sake.
POLICE DETERMINE THAT A MAINE BIGFOOT WAS ACTUALLY MAN IN A ‘VERY CONVINCING COSTUME’

First off, thanks for writing in and no I will not have self-respect. That train left the station long ago. I do, however, thank you for your concern.
Everything I write is completely serious, especially my work on Bigfoot (this one for those who missed it is here). There’s no hint of sarcasm at all.
Again, thanks for reaching out.
All is not lost here. We’ve got a documentary coming out that is about to have the Bigfoot community questioning everything.
The “Capturing Bigfoot” doc that made a name for itself earlier this year is finally going to hit a streaming platform. It’s the one I mentioned trying to get my hands on to view.
It will be on Prime Video on National Bigfoot Day, October 20. It alleges to have new evidence regarding the infamous Patterson Gimlin film. We’ll see.
Grilling and Triathlon

Hey SeanJo,
Great work filling in for Joe! Finally a great day, weather-wise, here in South Florida. Got out to the pool and grilled up the usual cheeseburgers, which beat out hot dogs. Maybe steaks next weekend.
To answer your question, as far as my next half Ironman, I’m going with 2-3 years. Mostly because my body needs a break from these huge training blocks. I took most of last week off, minus a few short runs. I have another marathon early next year, so I’ll be doing a short ramp up to running. After that, I’ll likely do short course triathlons, sprint and Olympic distances. Those are a lot of fun.
Anyone else in SC nation doing any running or triathlons?
As they say, by our mid- to late-30s, we have our hobbies for the rest of our lives. Golf, bourbon, sourdough, pickle ball, vinyl, marathon, etc. I went with the latter 😂
Take care!

Thanks for the support and for sending in your meat. And for updating us on the Ironman events. I love that the two to three years off means you’ll only be doing “short course triathlons, sprint and Olympic distances.”
Coyote sighting
– Mike writes:
Your story brought back a memory from a few months ago. I was backing out of the driveway, on my way to the golf course for an early morning back 9, and I noticed this “dog” sitting in the middle of the street. Thought to myself that was strange, looked around for the guy with his dog off a leash, then realized it was one of the local coyotes pausing to scratch before continuing its hunt for neighborhood cats and small dogs accidentally let outside.

Ditka

Thought you three would enjoy clips of Ditka in “Kicking & Screaming,” a family comedy co-starring Robert Duvall and Will Ferrell. Ditka holds his own among the professional actors, and had a nice touch for comedic timing.

Thanks for sending the clips along. RIP Mike Ditka. One of the best and one of the last of his kind.
Grilling helps with losses

The math adds up for me, Bill. It’s hard to stay too bummed about a loss when you’re pulling pork chops off the grill. Thanks for sending in your meat.

That’s all I have for this Sunday. We have a London game this morning. My Panthers are on a bye week after a big Sunday Night Football win last weekend.
If you were hoping that I’d be upset about the Yankees, take a look back at my reaction over the last several years. It’s the same. I’m going to let the anger build and unleash it if there aren’t changes made this offseason.
