Kelly Osbourne reveals how much weight she’s gained since drastic weight loss following dad Ozzy’s death
Kelly Osbourne says she’s gained 30 pounds since she shocked fans at a red carpet appearance in February because of her drastic weight loss.
The former reality star revealed she herself was alarmed when she saw pics of herself at the 2026 BRIT Awards on Feb. 28, posing in a long black dress and a fur shawl. She wore a blond wig styled in a blunt bob with bangs.
“I didn’t know that I looked like that until I saw the pictures,” she admitted in a new interview with The Sun published Sunday. “When I saw them, I couldn’t f—ing believe it. I was as shocked as everyone else.”
But she clarified that she was not suffering from an eating disorder.
“I just couldn’t do anything for myself,” she explained. “Eating made me feel like I wanted to throw up.”
She was grieving the death of her father, iconic rocker Ozzy Osbourne, who died in July 2025 at age 76. Kelly recalled asking her dad for help while struggling and doing “candle magic” in order to communicate with him.
“My dad told me he would send me messages,” she said. “It felt like everything inside me was dead, and I didn’t want my son [Sidney, 3] to see me like this.”
She continued, “I went to my dad’s grave with a white candle and I wrote a wish on it saying, ‘Please help me.’”
Kelly said her wish was granted the next day when her mom, Sharon Osbourne, introduced her to therapist and life coach Chris Miller, whom she credits for saving her life.
Kelly, 41, said she now looks back at the “worst year of her life” — which includes her split from ex-fiancé, Sid Wilson, in March — as also being “really beautiful.”
“I’ve learned that my grief is an honor, as I truly love someone that much,” she reflected.
Kelly later insisted during the candid interview that aside from getting Botox between her eyebrows and in her jaw because she grinds her teeth, she has not undergone any plastic surgery.
“Trust me, I want to get rid of this and that, but I’m too scared,” she noted. “What if they f–k it up and I look crazy?”
She added, “This is the face that God and my family gave me, and whether you like it or not, that’s up to you, but I’m alright with it.”
In March, Kelly hit back at body-shaming trolls after her BRIT Awards appearance.
“There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time. “Kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most.”
She’s now in a much healthier place.
Last month, the former “The View” host said she’s eight months sober after she started drinking again when she hit “ground zero” after her dad’s death.
“I have the most incredible people around me. I closed my circle because I lost a lot of friends,” she said on the “We Need to Talk” podcast. “People don’t like sadness, and they expected me to be over it.”
“And I will never be over it,” she continued. “I will never, ever be over it.”
