Collin Gosselin makes sad plea to siblings amid ‘horrible’ estrangement: ‘I love them very much’
Collin Gosselin has a heartbreaking message for the siblings he’s been estranged from for nearly a decade.
“The last time I told them I loved them was [at a] reunion that we had at about 14 or 15 years old,” the 22-year-old told Page Six exclusively during a sit-down interview while promoting his new memoir, “In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood.”
“I do love them very much,” he added.
The former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star said it has been heartbreaking to see how much distance has grown between them.
“It’s horrible how much triangulation occurred in our home and that we were, we were pitted against each other,” he said. “I mean, how do you do that to siblings that were all born together on the same day? It’s horrible.”
Collin is one of six sextuplets, alongside Aaden, Joel, Alexis, Hannah and Leah. His parents, Jon and Kate Gosselin, also share older twin daughters, Mady and Cara.
The family rose to fame on TLC’s hit reality series “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” which documented their lives raising eight children.
However, Collin’s relationship with several of his siblings became strained amid the family’s troubles, and he has previously said he hasn’t spoken to them since 2016.
Despite the years apart, Collin made it clear that his love for his brothers and sisters hasn’t changed.
“I love them very much, and I want them to know that what was done to us as children is not normal,” he told us.
“I was very broken; I was very hurt,” he continued. “But I’d fight that battle every day again to make a point that the things that we were put through was not healthy.”
Collin added, “And I’m sorry that I had to put myself out there, but I’m not sorry, but I had to be the one to be the voice against that.”
Representatives for Kate and TLC did not respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
In Collin’s memoir, “In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood,” he wrote, “…l sincerely love all my siblings. If any of them ever read this, I hope they know that.
“To Maddy, Cara, Alexis, Aaden, Leah, and Joel: No matter what’s happened or what was said, no matter how things look from the outside—I love you. I always have and always will.”
This isn’t the first time Collin has publicly expressed how much he misses his siblings.
In Aug. 2025, Collin penned a heartbreaking message to his siblings on TikTok, claiming that they were “forced apart.”
“Born to be a team, us against the world…” he wrote atop a throwback photo of him and his seven siblings.
In the second photo, Collin wore sunglasses while driving a car. “Forced to do it alone, and wonder every day what our lives could’ve looked like,” he wrote atop the pic.
“Forced apart, pitted against each other,” he added in the caption. “All the fame and money in the world, but what about kids being kids?”
Kate and Jon tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in June 1999. Kate filed for divorce from Jon 10 years later in June 2009, and it was finalized later that year in December.
Collin has been estranged from his mother since 2016, when she sent him to live in a behavioral health institution at age 11 for alleged behavioral issues.
Jon ultimately obtained legal and physical custody of Collin in 2018 after getting him out of the facility.
Jon also obtained custody of Hannah after she left Kate’s home, while the remaining sextuplets continued living with their mother along with Mady and Cara.
Collin shares more about his childhood, family relationships and experiences growing up on reality television in his memoir, “In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood,” released Tuesday.
