49ers overtake Rams as Super Bowl favorites in major odds shakeup

For the first time this season, the Rams are no longer the favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Instead, another NFC West team has taken the lead in betting odds.

The 49ers are now favorited to win the division, the NFC and the Super Bowl, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

As the NFL enters Week 6, the 49ers are one of three undefeated teams remaining.

San Francisco stunned the football world with its season opening performance against the Rams, who were slated to be a juggernaut with the return of Aaron Donald and acquisition of Myles Garrett.

Instead, the 49ers handed Los Angeles an absolute beatdown in Week 1.

Since then, the 49ers have proved to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender with huge wins over the Broncos and Seahawks.

As for the Rams, the super team hasn’t quite lived up to expectations sitting at third place in the division. LA is coming off a tough overtime loss to the Bills, a true AFC contender.

Betting on the NFL?

The Rams, with a 2-3 record, have endured several close games this season with a memorable win over Philadelphia but a crushing defeat to Denver.

The margin for error in the NFC West has been extremely thin in recent seasons, especially in 2026.

But it appears the 49ers are separating themselves from the pack.
