Ex-Jets QB Mark Sanchez reaches settlement with truck driver he pummeled in booze-filled attack

Former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has struck a tentative deal to settle a civil lawsuit over a bloody brawl with a 69-year-old truck driver he allegedly attacked in Indianapolis last year, according to court documents.

The proposed deal comes after Sanchez agreed to plead guilty last month to charges stemming from his alleged beatdown of Perry Tole in October 2025.

Tole claimed he was left “permanently disfigured” from the battering he took from the ex-Fox Sports TV analyst, according to the lawsuit.

Sanchez, Tole and Fox Corporation — which employed the former athlete at the time of the assault — reached an agreement in principle on Oct. 3, court papers filed in the Southern District of Indiana on Oct. 6 show.

Tole’s attorneys are expected to file a motion to dismiss the case by Jan. 8, 2027, once the settlement is signed. Details of the deal were not immediately known.

The lawsuit stemmed from Tole being body slammed and beaten by Sanchez when he parked his truck in an alley to collect cooking oil from an Indianapolis hotel on Oct. 10, 2025.

The truck driver stabbed Sanchez multiple times after he attacked him.

Footage captured a bloodied Sanchez, who cops said reeked of booze, clutching his wounds while staggering from the alleyway into a nearby bar.

Grisly photos after the pummeling showed Tole in a neck brace in his hospital bed with deep wounds to his cheek and jaw.

Sanchez, a onetime standout quarterback at USC, was hit with a slew of charges, including battery resulting in serious bodily injury, battery resulting in bodily injury, unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication.

Sanchez’s attorneys and Indiana state prosecutors filed a joint motion on Sept. 2 asking that a judge vacate a Sept. 8 trial date and “set this matter for a guilty plea and sentencing hearing.”

But it was not clear which criminal charges Sanchez plans to plead guilty to.

Sanchez’s legal advisor told The Post in a statement last month that they were “encouraged by the constructive conversations taking place regarding the related civil matter.”

“There is real momentum toward bringing this entire chapter to a close,” Nick Sanchez Jr., said.

Matt Golitko, an attorney for Tole, previously said discussions with Sanchez’s legal team have created a “positive path” for moving forward.

“Our discussions have been productive, and we’re on a positive path toward an agreement that will allow the parties to move forward,” Golitko said in a statement last month.

“Mr. Tole appreciates the progress we have achieved and looks forward to an amicable resolution.”

Attorneys for Sanchez and Tole did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
