Independent wrestling promotion bringing the sport to New Jersey town for first time in over a decade
Independent professional wrestling is one of the last true sports where sports fans can get into an event, meet up-and-coming superstars, see a great show and leave with your shirt on your back. Tickets to shows are usually cheap, promotions – for the most part – try to keep the entertainment family friendly and you might leave with a smile on your face.
That’s what it’s all about, right?

Titan Championship Wrestling, a New Jersey-based wrestling promotion, has made that formula work for several years. On Saturday, the company is bringing the sport back to Spotswood, New Jersey – a town in the central part of the state that hasn’t seen wrestling come through in nearly 11 years. The company will hold Resurrection and feature some of the biggest names on the scene.
“This is a great experience for the people of Spotswood or any kind of professional wrestling fan in the area,” Titan Championship Wrestling co-promoter Charles DeLutri told OutKick Dropkick in a recent interview. “Wrestling has not been in that area for almost 11 years, and we’re happy to bring you not only an unbelievable event, but at the same time, a portion of what we actually do here at Titan Championship Wrestling.
“We bring in any kind of sort of entertainment aspect to between the comedy style, the strong style, and the entertaining style to where that it’s a fully rounded family experience for anybody to attend.”

Former WWE superstar Jay Tha Gawd (formerly known as JTG), Joey Janela and Michael Fain are just some of the names set to appear at the event.
DeLutri said he’s known Janela for a long time and has worked with him closely during different points in the business. Jay Tha Gawd has been making a new name for himself on the indie scene as well, appearing in several events in the area recently.
Fain is the TCW heavyweight champion, who DeLutri thinks is someone to watch out for on the scene.
“Michael Fain has to be one of the biggest up-and-comers out there,” he said. “Michael Fain has been grinding with us since almost day one of Titan Championship Wrestling. And what he’s done toward that, he’s taken that title toward that, it’s evolved to a faction called the TBA which was him and his organization tour that he’s now called the king of the titans, and he uses that name well.”

Titan Championship Wrestling’s Resurrection takes place on Oct. 17, 2026. (Provided to OutKick)
