Shane Gillis’ ex-girlfriend throws shade at comedian’s ‘SNL’ monologue about female gymgoers

Shane Gillis’ ex-girlfriend Grace Brassel shaded the comedian’s “Saturday Night Live” monologue about female gymgoers.

Brassel reposted a video of Dan Levy ripping Gillis for his “misogynistic” joke to her Instagram Stories Tuesday, before writing “ANYWAYS… y’all need anything from the store?”

She continued the shade by sharing a gym selfie with the caption, “fitcheck!” per the Big Lead.

Additionally, Brassel took to Instagram Wednesday to show off her gym routine and wrote atop the video, “Fully body workout for my hoes.”

The exes, notably, confirmed their relationship in July 2024 and quietly split about a year later.

While hosting the NBC show on Saturday, Gillis, 38, was met with backlash for his description of female gymgoers during his monologue.

“I haven’t been to the gym in so long, I didn’t realize women just dressed like whores now,” Gillis said. “Look, I’m sorry there’s no other way to describe it. Have you seen it, I’ve seen it.”

He continued, “The shorts, have you seen the shorts? Those neon, they’re like artificial bait color. The wrinkles go around the cheeks and all combine at the butthole.”

The ill-fated joke has been slammed by Jenna Bush Hager, Kathy Griffin, Levy and several “SNL” alums.

“This perpetuates what is happening in our culture where people are commenting on women’s looks ad nauseam … and it’s not OK,” Bush Hager said during Tuesday’s episode of “Today With Jenna & Sheinelle.”

Griffin exclusively told Page Six that Gillis is part of a group of men from the “TikTok or podcast world” that “all look like they can’t get laid.”

“They all tell the same jokes … and they tell these jokes about women that are from like 100 years ago, like women should be in the kitchen and shut up and all this other stuff,” she told us.

Cecily Strong took a similar approach to Brassel by posting herself working out with a shady caption.

Many celebrities have slammed the actor (pictured on “SNL”) for his monologue, including Jenna Bush Hager, Kathy Griffin and several “SNL” alums.

“On my way to Pilates in my new slutty ass orange shoes and rainbow socks,” Strong wrote in a Instagram Stories post Wednesday, showing off her gym attire.

“Might sell sex on the way not sure,” she added.

Gillis, who was originally added a cast member on “SNL” in 2019, before getting fired just five days later, has yet to respond to the scrutiny.
