Kaylub Giamanco, a carpenter and father of two girls who attend Silver Rail Elementary, was driving home from his break on Thursday when he heard gunfire, his brother, Kyle Giamanco, told NBC News.

Kaylub Giamanco, 36, who owns a concealed weapon, bravely pursued teen gunman John J. Griffin into the school building’s special education room and fatally shot him, his brother described.
Despite being credited by authorities with saving lives, Kaylub Giamanco does not want to speak out because he doesn’t feel like a hero and is riddled with guilt for not saving more people, according to his sibling.
