Speaking to the Tennessean, he recalled thinking he had a “stinger,” but once he got off the field, he “really knew that something was wrong.”

Bo has had quite the football career so far, leading his team to a 6-1 record in his first full season as a starting quarterback, according to the local outlet.

“I’m super impressed,” Luke, 50, told USA TODAY Sports in September. “This being against a big rival during his senior year, he’s learning as he goes.”

“Everything that happens to him this year is the first time he’s had all these pressure situations, all the ups and downs. He came out, we got behind and he threw a pick that turned into points for them,” he continued about his son.

In addition to Bo, the singer shares son Tatum Christopher Bryan, 16, with his wife, Caroline Boyer.

The couple also adopted Bryan’s two nieces and nephew after his brother-in-law, Ben Lee Cheshire, died in 2014. His sister, Kelly, had already died in 2007.

In his interview with USA Today Sports, Bryan also praised his son’s athletic ability.

‘Bo is really young in his development as a quarterback because he’s been a two- or three-sport athlete his whole life,” he said. “The fact that he’s been able to really turn the corner as a quarterback has been amazing to see.”
