Aaron Rodgers’ family cheers on NFL star at Steelers game for first time since ending feud
We are family!
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ family cheered on the NFL star in a recent game against the Indianapolis Colts — the first time since their feud ended.
The quarterback’s brother, Luke Rodgers, took to Instagram on Sunday to share snaps from his Oct. 12 game, when his team beat the Colts 34-22.
In the sweet snaps, the NFL star posed on the sidelines with Luke and their parents, Ed and Darla, as well as his sister-in-law, Aimee, and their three young children.
Another photo showed Aaron spending time on the field with his niece and nephew, while another showed the family cheering him on from a box suite.
The kids even waved Pittsburgh’s “Terrible Towel,” the team’s famous rally towel, as they rooted for their uncle.
“Last weekend was pretty special. 💛🖤” Luke wrote in the caption of his post.
Other adorable pictures included in the carousel showed Aaron spending time with his nieces and nephews at what appeared to be his house.
While Aaron and Luke’s younger brother, Jordan, was not there for the family weekend, he “liked” the Instagram post.
During an August interview with NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt, the football star gave his mystery wife, Brittani, a lot of credit for helping him repair the broken bond with his family.
“I’m happy to be reunited and that part of my life is a really beautiful addition and I got to give my wife a lot of credit — not that she was pushing me, because she never was, but just the way that she loves and supports me,” the football legend said at the time.
“Having her by my side during this process has been really special, and I miss those relationships. And there’s reasons for it that don’t need to be talked about but I’m thankful that that’s come all the way back around.”
Rodgers, set to retire after this season, added that he has purposely not shared much about his family with the public in years past.
“I have been very closed off about that part of my life and I want to keep it that way, but there’s been a narrative that has gone on for too long that I wanted to kind of shut down,” Aaron said. “And it’s been really beautiful to reconnect with them — all of them.”
In July, he took to Instagram to share snaps from his “family bonding week,” as he smiled alongside his parents and brother, Luke.
In 2016, the rift between him and his family became public after his brother, Jordan, was a contestant on Season 12 of “The Bachelorette.”
