‘RHONY’ star Carole Radziwill shares surprising news after The Post’s parking scam exposé
This is rich.
“Real Housewives” star Carole Radziwill insisted Monday that she’s a hard-nosed parking enforcer in her SoHo neighborhood — even as she’s racked up thousands of dollars in tickets herself.
Radziwill, 63 — who recently revealed on her reality TV show that she tries to dodge the city’s real-life parking enforcers with her own traffic cones — told Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” that she can’t tolerate people who don’t abide by the city’s alternate-side street-cleaning routine.
“I’m the one who, if people are sitting in their car and they don’t pull out, I will bang on their window and be like, ‘No, no, you’re not just sitting here. You gotta move because we need the streets clean,’ ” she said, referring to the much-maligned New York ritual requiring drivers to move their cars for an hour and a half twice a week to make way for street sweepers.
Radziwill — who has also used an expired FDNY placard in her windshield to dodge the rules — racked up $8,000 in traffic violations since 2020, including 17 tickets for missing alternate side street cleaning.
But she touted that record to bolster her bona fides as a parking-enforcement hero.
“Thank you New York Post for doing the research. I only had 17 alt-sides tickets. That is like legend status.” she said. “Over six years, that’s three a year.
“Find someone who has a better record than that,” she added.
The reality star’s parking tactics landed her on the cover of The Post on Friday after she bragged in a recent “Real Housewives of New York’’ episode about keeping the ConEd cones in her car to plop on the roof and trick meter maids into not ticketing her.
“The cone is a cop family hack. If I’m parked illegally or slightly too close to a hydrant, they will keep on walking,” she said.
That wasn’t just reality-show bluster — Radziwill’s red Jeep Cherokee had two orange ConEd cones stashed in the trunk when The Post tracked it down last week, along with a long-expired FDNY parking placard taped under the windshield.
And the housewife — who was married to the late Anthony Radziwill, nephew of Jackie Kennedy — stood by her parking practices after the expose.
“I’ll never change the way I park,’’ she said Monday.
“I think people think it’s like a money thing, that I don’t want to park it in the garage because they’re expensive,” she said. “It absolutely isn’t, it’s not.
“I would not have a car in the city if it was in a garage because I use my car. Almost every day I use it.”
She also noted she was fully paid up on her traffic fines — and that it was still cheaper to eat the fines rather than pay for a garage, which in SoHo runs around $800 per month.
“Eight thousand dollars is by the way nothing, it’s $100 a month over the six years because parking is expensive in the city,” she said.
By comparison, paying for a garage at $800 a month over that time would cost nearly $60,000.
But Radziwill insisted she doesn’t try to game the system — and loathes anybody who does.
“Those people, they don’t move their car usually and they don’t care about the ticket,” she said. “I don’t like that.”
“I love the city. I love my car. I love freedom of having that car right outside my door,” she added. “And as the New York Post has shown, I’m really f–king good at alt sides, OK? There you are.”
