Jay-Z chooses himself for Super Bowl halftime show

Jay-Z has reportedly picked himself to perform the Super Bowl halftime show when the big game takes place in Los Angeles in February, according to Puck.

The rapper — who is the decision-maker for Super Bowl halftime talent after Roc Nation reached an agreement with the NFL in 2019 — has long been an inevitable and more compelling option than Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, both of whom were in talks for the gig, multiple sources told the outlet.

Jay-Z has yet to address the report.

Jay-Z  hasn’t released an album since 2017’s “4:44,” which went double-platinum.

His many chart topping hits have carried through the test of time.

The 56-year-old is also fresh off a successful 2026 run of shows.

In July, his two sold-out concerts at Yankee Stadium brought in $42 million, per Puck.
