Sahara Ray’s friend Sabrina Zada paid tribute the the “kind” late model after her shocking death.
“You were bigger than the whole sky @sahara_ray still will always be,” Zada wrote via Instagram Monday alongside a carousel of photos of her and Ray together.
“Guess I just assumed you’d be here forever because why wouldn’t somebody as beautiful, kind, funny, and interesting as you be here anymore. I miss you already. You were a ray of light to anyone who knew you and a true friend. I love you forever Sahara. Rest easy angel ♡”
The influencer uploaded several snaps of her and Ray posing for a photo shoot as well as smiling in selfies.
In the last slide, Zada shared a screen recording from 2021, in which she texted Ray planning to visit her in the hospital for an unknown health issue.
On her Instagram Story, she also shared a video with Ray and paired it with the PinkPantheress song “Angel.”
The Australian native — who was linked romantically to Justin Bieber in 2016 — reportedly died from a fentanyl overdose. She was just 34 years old.
Ray overdosed on the synthetic opioid Friday and was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital where she was put on life support, the Daily Mail reported.
Her family ultimately made the devastating decision to take her off life support Sunday, an insider told the outlet.
An official cause of death has not been released, and it is unknown if the reported overdose was accidental or deliberate.
Ray’s mother, Gretchen Bach, told the Daily Mail in a statement that “Sahara was an incredibly passionate and kind young woman who loved her family, fashion, her daughter Snow, and surfing.”
The statement continued, “We’re feeling the love that is pouring in from her cherished friends, fans and the many communities that she was part of around the world.”
Her tragic death comes just months after she gave birth to her daughter, Snow Ray Dow, in January.
Ray officially introduced her newborn to her social media followers in April, though she never revealed the identity of the baby’s father.
“Baby snow hallelujah,” she captioned the post, which was paired with Bieber’s 2025 hit “Everything Hallelujah.”
Ray’s final post was a series of photos of her daughter, shared in July.
“My whole heart 🤍 baby Snow,” she wrote.
Ray was also romantically linked to rapper Mod Sun. She made her final public appearance in November 2023 alongside the musician and another friend.
