Celtics vs Pistons | Tuesday, Oct 20, 2026 at 3:00 pm ET | Little Caesars Arena, Detroit, MI | NBC/Peacock

The Boston Celtics head into Detroit to take on the upstart Pistons. Last season, the Pistons ended the season with the top seed in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics had a playoff meltdown against the 76ers and then dismantled their star duo.

Jaylen Brown was shipped off to Philadelphia (and he plays later today if you’re interested). Now they have Paul George in his place, and they’ve added Mitchell Robinson to the roster. This isn’t as deep or as talented as their championship team, but Jayson Tatum may be on a mission to prove they kept the right guy.

The Detroit Pistons are just a few years removed from being one of the worst teams in the NBA. The turnaround is complete, and the goal now is sustaining it. They have one of the best young guards in the league, Cade Cunningham. John Collins is a nice addition to the team, but clearly he isn’t a perfect fit anywhere, as this is already his fifth team in 10 seasons. They resigned Jalen Duren, and now they look to run it back and get the 1st seed once again.

Get in on this action with an early tip-off at 3:00 ET, with Fanatics Sportsbook offering new users promo code FOXNEWS350 to provide $350 in FanCash from a $20 wager.
