Heartbreaking call AEW star Pac received as paramedics worked to save his life

The wife of AEW star Benjamin Satterley, known as Pac, called his cellphone as police investigated the wrestler’s death after finding him slumped over in his vehicle, a newly released report revealed.

Natalie Taylor, Satterley’s spouse, called her husband’s phone on Sept. 27 as law enforcement was on scene after his passing in the parking lot of a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Ill, according to a Cook County Medical Examiner report released to the California Post Monday.

When police answered her call, she “reported that she last spoke with Satterley” less than three hours before he was pronounced dead at just 40 years old.

“Satterley told his wife that he was stopping at the restaurant CAVA before heading to O’Hare Airport,” officials wrote in the report.

They added that Taylor informed them that Satterley had been diagnosed with a redacted medical condition and he had been prescribed medication. They also noted she told them he had “no history of illicit drug or alcohol abuse.”

Satterley was discovered passed out in his car just before 4 p.m. by a 911 caller who stated she could not see any signs of life from the wrestler as he was slumped over in the driver’s seat of his rental car.

“I don’t see his chest moving at all,” she told police dispatch during the call.

After toxicology reports found nothing extraordinary, officials determined Satterley died of bronchial asthma and deemed his passing natural, the medical examiner report stated.

The documents noted inhalers were found at the death scene.

Satterley had been in the area for his role with AEW, as he wrestled against Andrade at the NOW Arena in Chicago on Sept. 26.

Taylor wrote in an emotional Instagram post on Oct. 12 that she and Sattereley had been looking forward to his return home from Illinois.

“You were so excited to get home to us,” Taylor said, “you were going to shoot hoops all week with your best mates, we were going to set up your new home gym and take Wilfie for some autumnal walks, have pizza at Rudy’s on your cheat day, go to the match, see Sam Campbell live.

“We’re all just waiting for you to walk through the door again darling, and the idea that will never happen is beyond comprehension.”
