Tennis star Jessica Pegula’s must-haves range from collagen peptides to $8 claw clips
Ever wonder what your favorite celebrities buy when they’re browsing their favorite boutique or shopping online late at night? Welcome to Six Picks, where we ask stars to spill their style and beauty must-haves — so you can shop like you’re famous, too.
As the No. 4-ranked women’s tennis player in the world — and No. 1 in the US — Jessica Pegula is always on top of her game.
But when she’s not scoring big on the court, she’s also at the forefront of the growing crossover between sports and beauty — from founding her own skin care brand, Ready 24, to teaming up with collagen company Vital Proteins.
“I do think when you look good and feel good, you play better,” she told Page Six Style.
“The big points, long rallies and high-pressure moments fans see on the court all come from the work you put in behind the scenes and the daily habits you build over time.”
Below, Pegula spills the six essentials she swears by for doing just that, from Amazon hair clips to a chic travel bag.
“I spend so much of the year living out of a suitcase, so anything that keeps me organized while I’m traveling is a must. I love these bags because I can keep all of my skin care, makeup and everyday essentials organized and actually see everything without having to dig through a million different pouches. It makes packing and unpacking so much easier.”

“Vital Proteins has been a part of my routine for years. As an athlete, taking care of my body is a priority, especially throughout a long and demanding season. Collagen peptides are one way I support my body
and help me look, move and feel my best, both on and off the court. I like to add them to my morning smoothie, my coffee, or I’ll mix them into water when I’m on the go.”

“I always have a bag full of hair ties and hair clips in my purse. They’re a match-day essential because I need my hair out of my face when I’m playing. And you can never have too many, because they always seem to disappear when you need them most!”

“Recovery is such a huge part of being a professional athlete, especially during a season where I’m constantly traveling, training and competing. I love having my Whoop to help me keep track of things like my sleep, recovery and strain. It gives me a better sense of how my body is doing day to day and is something I check every morning.”

“Sunscreen is probably my No. 1 beauty essential, especially because I spend so much time outside playing tennis. Protecting my skin is a big part of my routine, whether I’m on the court or traveling. I’m pretty consistent about it and always have sunscreen with me. It’s one thing I never want to be without — and Supergoop! Play is one of my favorites because it’s easy to apply and holds up during an intense match.”

“I always have my headphones with me on game days. I’m a big music person, but I actually prefer calmer, more vibey music before a match rather than anything super upbeat. There’s already enough nervous energy in the stadium, so I like to do what I can to stay in the zone.”
