**Spoiler alert: This article contains details from the entire third season of Nobody Wants This, now streaming on Netflix**
After two seasons of ups and downs for Los Angeles’ favorite star-crossed pair, Season 3 promises an exciting new chapter as the couple moves in together and start their beautiful, blended, and beshert life together. Of course, the season also brings back Morgan (Justine Lupe), Sasha (Timothy Simons), and Esther (Jackie Tohn) to add color to the ever-complicated love story of their siblings (and sibling-in-law, in Esther’s case) as the three navigate the tricky waters of family blending.
One thing is for sure: while it may not always be easy for Noah and Joanne — especially if Noah’s mother (Tovah Feldshuh) keeps butting her head in — it will always be entertaining for us. So, does it actually end with these two crazy kids figuring it out? We’ve got your answers.
Here’s a fullblown breakdown of the Nobody Wants This Season 3 ending, including whether or not Joanne and Noah split up again and if Joanne finishes her conversion…
Nobody Wants This Season 3 Ending Explained
The final moments of Nobody Wants This Season 3 see Noah and Joanne not only celebrating her Mikveh — a.k.a. the ritualistic ceremony that completes her conversion to Judaism — on the beach in Malibu, but making a last-minute decision to tie the knot in that very moment. Only joined by Rabbi Eden (Sarah Silverman) and a complete stranger (a Jewish one, conveniently!) to serve as their witness. So what’s with the impromptu wedding after spending an entire half a season planning their nuptials? Let’s back up.
At the top of the episode, Noah and Joanne are attempting to get Morgan and Sasha in the same car after their New York City hookup turned sour. While they initially fought to not ruin the friendship, the pair eventually succumbed to the will-they-won’t-they dynamic they’ve had since Season 1, opting to forgo the makeshift bed that Morgan made out of their hotel room’s couch and share the bed in a few different ways.Morgan, after briefly running away, ultimately tells Morgan that she really does believe that they could be one in a million, but he spurns her declaration of love, saying that her cold feet spooked him a little too much and that he isn’t ready to dive in head first with her. That awkwardness even leads Morgan to do everything she can to avoid being in the same room with Sasha, an increasingly difficult task considering the upcoming nuptials of their siblings. Even worse, Sasha somehow finds his way back into Esther’s bed, but we’ll get back to that in a second.

Cut to the start of Episode 10 (“The Plunge”) as Noah and Joanne all but trap Sasha and Morgan in the back of their car as they roadtrip to Malibu for Joanne’s Mikveh; it’s important to note that Morgan could not care less about Joanne’s spiritual rebirth into Judasim, but the sound of a beach house in Malibu for the weekend does come with a certain level of intrigue. After a car ride that serves as both punishment and relationship rebuilding for the estranged besties, Morgan twists her ankle on the side of the road and has to be carried around by Sasha into the beach house, where Esther and the rest of their families are waiting. Despite everyone agreeing to play nice with each other for Joanne, things quickly erupt into chaos as it comes out that Morgan and Sasha hooked up in New York and that Esther and Sasha have hooked up in the time since.
Realizing that their families are more than happy to keep fighting about how messy the situation is, Noah, Joanne, and Rabbi Eden decide to head down to the beach on their own and complete the Mikveh the way it was always meant to be, i.e. just the two of them. It’s as Joanne is emerging from the water and taking in the stunning scene (and also realizing that things are only going to get messier when they involve other people) that Noah and Joanne decide to do the damn thing right there and then. The season ends with the pair embracing joyfully on the beach and blissfully ignoring the problems that await them back at the beach house… and the ones that will be with them for the rest of their lives.
