My Chemical Romance gives middle finger to Dallas Cowboys over bloody on-stage stunt at Hollywood Bowl

My Chemical Romance apparently isn’t ready to give up its controversial Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders stunt — even as the band faces a legal fight over the look-alike uniforms.

The rockers appeared to stick with the disputed stage act Friday night, Oct. 23, with fan-posted videos showing dancers in the same blue-and-white cheerleader-style outfits performing in the background at the Hollywood Bowl.

The apparent defiance came hours after Pro Silver Star Ltd., owner of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (DCC), filed for a temporary restraining order and temporary injunction against the band.

The legal action claims My Chemical Romance misled fans with look-alikes wearing the iconic uniforms during a bloody staged shootout at the group’s sold-out Hollywood Bowl concert on Oct. 21.

During the performance, female dancers dressed in blue-and-white outfits resembling the DCC uniforms took the stage carrying rifles before being gunned down in a staged firefight, according to court papers.

“The costumed performers armed themselves with semi-automatic rifles and joined a staged firefight, and were then depicted being shot and crawling off the stage,” the papers read.

The filing alleges the scene left concertgoers and social media users believing the performers were actual Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, with posts about the stunt continuing to circulate online.

But the cheerleaders’ owners say they aren’t trying to dictate the band’s performance — just protect their signature look.

“Silver Star does not ask Defendants to change their setlist, narrative, politics, choreography, or even their decision to put gun-toting performers on stage. Silver Star asks only that those performers not wear the DCC Uniform while doing it,” the documents said.

“The universe of alternative costume designs is effectively unlimited,” the filing continued.

Fans, meanwhile, appeared to spot the familiar outfits again during Friday’s show, judging by videos circulating online.

“MCR DONT GAFF ABOUT A CEASE AND DESIST LOLLLL. POUND SAND MOTHERFU–R,” commented one social media user.

A cease-and-desist letter was sent to MCR on Oct. 22, according to the filing, which alleges the defendants continued with the disputed act afterward. The documents also note that the DCC uniform is federally registered.

MCR’s show schedule at The Hollywood Bowl includes the dates of Oct. 21, 23, 24, 30 and 31.

The band was contacted by The Post for comment.
