Blue Ivy joins dad Jay-Z onstage in LA in front of reunited Destiny’s Child
Blue Ivy joined her dad, Jay-Z, onstage Friday night during Night 1 of his 30th anniversary concert.
The 14-year-old was welcomed to the stage at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California and accompanied the rapper on the piano for two of his hits, “The Story of O.J.” and “Dead Presidents.”
After playing the two songs on the piano, the teen walked up to her dad and hugged him as the crowd cheered.
“Please put your hands together and make a heavenly noise for the multi-talented, the most incredible, Blue Ivy Carter,” the proud parent told the crowd.
Blue Ivy’s appearance wasn’t the only surprise of the night, as eagle-eyed fans noticed that Destiny’s Child reunited in the crowd.
Beyoncé was joined in her suite by former bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, where the famed girl group bopped along to Jay-Z’s hits.
The famous trio was spotted dancing and cheering on the father-daughter duo.
The three core members, who rose to fame in 1997, have remained friends over the years even after disbanding in 2005.
Last year, Rowland and Williams joined Beyoncé onstage for her final Los Angeles show on the “Cowboy Carter” tour in July 2025.
Blue Ivy also performed with her superstar mom during the record-breaking tour, along with her younger sister, Rumi, 9.
During Beyoncé’s opening show at SoFi Stadium, Blue Ivy surprised fans first by dancing to “America Has a Problem.”
Rumi joined her family members elsewhere in the show when Beyoncé sang “Protector,” marking the little one’s onstage debut.
In March, Jay-Z defended their oldest daughter performing with her parents after facing backlash.
The record exec told GQ that Blue Ivy doesn’t have “everything … just given to her” and argued that she “fought” to be part of “almost every number.”
“That was amazing,” the Grammy winner gushed, describing how Blue “fought” to improve her dancing skills after “a lot of conversation around her first performance.”
Jay-Z added that he was especially “proud” she “fought for something that she really wanted to do” because his and Beyoncé’s eldest child effortlessly inherited their music skills.
