‘Dancing With the Stars’ delivers spine-chilling double elimination with ‘Horror Movie Night’
What’s spookier than a “Dancing With the Stars” double elimination? Absolutely nothing, that’s what.
Tyler Cameron and Jackson Olson were sent home in the final moments of “Horror Movie Night” alongside their pro partners, Sharna Burgess and Emma Slater, respectively.
The shocker comes after last week’s emotional “Dedication Night” saw all 10 remaining couples safe, with their scores and fan votes from that episode carrying over and combining with this week’s to determine which two pairs would get the axe.
With this double whammy, only eight couples remain in the competition for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

“Save the Last Dance” actress Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa kicked off the show with an Argentine tango to “The Dogs Attack” from the 1976 horror classic “The Omen.” (Stiles notably starred in the 2006 remake.)
They earned a 26/40 from the judges, with Derek Hough calling it a “low” in the “10 Things I Hate About You” star’s journey. Combined with last week’s score of 36/40, Stiles and Sosa had a total of 62/80.
“Glee” alum Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson followed that up with a contemporary to “Toxic” by 2WEI — a cover of Britney Spears’ iconic 2004 hit — inspired by the “Saw” franchise.
Guest judge Shirley Ballas said she had “never seen anything quite like” the routine, with Bruno Tonioli calling it “perfection.” They earned a 40/40 — the first perfect score of the season — bringing their two-night total to 76/80.
“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” alum Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik paid tribute to last year’s vampire blockbuster “Sinners” with a paso doble to “I Lied to You” by Miles Caton.
Carrie Ann Inaba called the routine Ali’s “most powerful and embodied, passionate dance yet,” with the judges giving them a 28/40. That brings their combined total score to 60/80.
“Step Up” actress Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy — who wasted no time addressing his one-week suspension — set the ballroom ablaze with an Argentine tango to “Uninvited” by Damned Anthem and Kendra Dantes inspired by the 2007 film “28 Weeks Later.”
Hough called the routine “unbelievable” and, despite the “Rookie” star briefly getting her heel stuck in her dress, the pair earned a 37/40. That brought their grand total to 74/80 from both weeks.
Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold performed a contemporary to “You Are My Sunshine” by Charles McDonald from the 2017 film “Annabelle: Creation.” Inaba dubbed the comedian the “contemporary king,” with them receiving a 37/40 from the judges. Their combined score is 69/80.
Paralympics gold medalist Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach took to the ballroom floor with a jazz set to “Madness” by Ruelle, inspired by the 2020 film “The Invisible Man.”
Shirley — known for her tough critiques — said she “enjoyed the performance,” as the judges scored the routine a 35/40. Combined with last week’s score, the pair’s total became 72/80.
Savannah Bananas star Jackson Olson and Emma Slater stepped up next with their contemporary to “That’s Life” by Frank Sinatra from the Best Picture Oscar-winning 2019 film “Joker.”
Tonioli called the routine “very special” and noted how well Olson embodied the iconic DC Comics villain. The judges gave him and Slater a 35/40, bringing their combined total to 67/80.
“Bachelor Nation” star Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess performed a Viennese waltz to “Love Song for a Vampire” by Annie Lennox from the 1992 gothic film “Bram Stoker’s Dracula.”
Inaba disagreed with “your highness” Shirley — who had praised Cameron’s acting skills during the routine — and the pair earned a 26/40 from the judges. Their total score across both weeks is 58/80.
Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov took on an Argentine tango to “Perfection” by Clint Mansell from the 2010 film “Black Swan.”
Hough called the Olympian gold medalist “exquisite to watch,” and the judges gave the routine a 36/40. That gave the pair a two-night grand total of 74/80.
Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas closed out the show with a contemporary to “Cry Little Sister” by Gerard McMann, the theme of the 1987 vampire film “The Lost Boys.”
Shirley — Mark’s mother — praised the “Traitors” alum for delivering a “powerful” routine. The judges gave the pair a 32/40, bringing their combined total to 67/80.
New episodes of “DWTS” air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. Eastern on ABC and Disney+, and stream on Hulu the following day.
