Raiders’ Maxx Crosby sends resoundingly clear message to haters amid losing streak

The Raiders have lost four games in a row, and star defensive end Maxx Crosby refuses to dwell on it.

Crosby told reporters Wednesday that he doesn’t pay attention to the naysayers and the team is focused on making the playoffs.

“If you want to be negative and not believe, then stay over there. Stay on that side, because I know when it does turn and when you do win, all those tough people disappear, and then they come back when it’s convenient,” Crosby said. “That’s how the world is, unfortunately.”

The 2026 season has been a roller coaster for Las Vegas.

The Raiders started 3-0 for the first time since 2021 — the same year they last made the playoffs.

But since Week 4, they’ve lost four games in a row.

Early this season, the Raiders showed that they’re not the “same old Raiders,” as first-year head coach Klint Kubiak energized the fan base.

In almost every offensive and defensive category, Las Vegas has ranked in the middle of the pack, and except for a 45-17 loss to the Patriots in Week 5, they’ve been in every game.

Two of their losses this season were decided by three points — against the Chiefs and Bills, who have been perennial regulars in the playoffs.

In last week’s 35-21 loss to the Rams, the Raiders trailed 28-6 at halftime. In the second half, their offense exploded, scoring two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, and at one point they faced a 10-point deficit.

With one of the tougher parts of their schedule finally behind them, the Raiders have a chance to get back in the win column on Sunday when they play on the road against the Jets.

The NFL trade deadline is two weeks away, and on Wednesday, Kubiak said the franchise is exploring every scenario to decide whether Vegas will be buyers or sellers.

“I love being doubted. S—t, I’ve been doubted my whole life. Keep it coming, I appreciate that. You’re just making a bigger monster,” Crosby said. “I know this locker room feels the same way. We’re all extremely motivated, and I know guys are ready to go out there and shut everybody up.”
