Gayle King admits she tries to get ‘Real Housewives’ gossip out of close pal Andy Cohen

Gayle King has a direct line to Andy Cohen whenever she has burning “Real Housewives” questions.

“It’s not unusual for me to text him and say, ‘What do you think of fill in the blank?’” the “CBS Mornings” co-host told Page Six exclusively at the 2026 PAC NYC Icon of Culture Gala earlier this week.

“Andy and I are very close,” she added.

However, King, 71, was surprisingly tight-lipped when asked to name her favorite Housewife — or even her favorite franchise.

“It would be hard to pick a favorite,” she explained. “I have a couple. I don’t watch all of them. Andy Cohen knows I’m a good watcher of the show.”

Cohen, for his part, recently told Page Six that the New York and Atlanta franchises have “always been kind of close to my heart.”

When she’s not keeping up with the “Housewives” drama, King has plenty to keep her busy.

“I can never turn off,” the veteran broadcaster confessed. “Because there’s always something going on, and I always have homework. I’ve got homework tonight. I’ll go home. I’ll do my homework. I’ve already started it. And then the day starts again.”

But King insisted she’s not complaining about her demanding schedule.

“I really love what I do, and when you love what you do, you don’t bitch and moan about it; you figure out how to make it work. And I’ve figured that out.”

And while King acknowledged that her hefty paycheck is certainly a perk, she insisted money isn’t her main motivation.

“Well, yeah, that helps, but that’s the least of my concerns right now,” the journalist explained. “I want to be able to do a good job and like the job that I do. It’s always nice to be paid; I’m not gonna act like it’s not nice. It’s always nice to be paid.”

King joined Diane von Furstenberg, Nick Jonas, Robin Roberts and Michael Bloomberg at the gala, which honored former Disney CEO Bob Iger for his “unparalleled influence and profound impact on the global cultural landscape” and his support of Lower Manhattan following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
