USC, Ohio State players nearly come to blows in heated pregame scene
It didn’t take long for blood to begin boiling for the USC Trojans’ Big Ten showdown against the second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday in Los Angeles.
A video of players from the two teams having to be separated after a heated exchange before the game is going viral on social media.
The clip began with Buckeyes linebacker Tarvos “TJ” Alford being escorted back inside the tunnel by his teammates and coaching staff members while he’s jawing at USC players.
As Alford is being escorted away, he can clearly be heard saying, “You a b****!” several times while looking absolutely furious.
Then the camera pans over to several Trojans players who were yelling back at him. It’s unclear which USC player Alford was jawing with, but Trojans linebackers Elijah Newby and Esun Tafa were among those talking to him.
Other photos of the exchange show that officials had to get involved to separate the two sides, which took place before the viral video started filming.
Many of the comments are fans saying that USC should not give Ohio State any more motivation for the game.
Then again, the Trojans have gotten off to a hot start against the country’s No. 2 team, as they have a 14-3 lead heading into the second quarter.
But there’s still a lot of football left to be played.
