Alexander Hamiltons cheer on runners at the NYC marathon to celebrate 225 years of The New York Post

“Thou hast this!”

Few institutions are more associated with the city than the New York Post and the New York City Marathon — so who better to cheer on Sunday’s runners in the five boroughs than our famed founder?

Several “Alexander Hamiltons” were among the thousands of fans who crowded near the race’s finish line at Central Park to cheer on the marathoners.

The Founding Father actors wielded signs with old-timey slogans such as, “MAKE HASTE,” “THOU HAST THIS!’ “LONG DASH  — !” and “YE HAST GOT THIS!” to support the record-setting pack of 60,000 in this year’s 50th running of the world’s most famous race.

The Hamiltons also took to the streets to kick off The Post’s celebration of its 225th anniversary as it honors the people, places and things that make the city so iconic.
