Dan Campbell addresses scary Jack Campbell injury situation in emotional Lions locker room message

The Lions took a knee in prayer for their stud linebacker Jack Campbell, who is now fighting in the hospital after a scary-looking injury.

Campbell was carted off the field early in the fourth quarter in the Lions’ eventual 19-15 victory as players from both teams sobbed as he lay on the field motionless, without feeling in his extremities.

“I’m gonna lower this mood a little bit,” Lions coach Dan Campbell said after giving the team its flowers following a victory against the previously undefeated Vikings.

“I do not have any more information on Jack. We don’t know anything else at this point. So here’s what I wanna do. We’re gonna take a knee. Now I wanna pray for Jack, and let’s keep him in our thoughts and prayers, man.”

The prayer is omitted in the video posted by the Lions’ official social media page, though it appeared that coach Campbell was emotional, with a red face and what appear to be tears running down his face.

The video returns after the prayer, when quarterback Jared Goff breaks down the locker room huddle.

“I know that, tough with Jack. Stick together, lean on each other. Alright?” Goff said before chanting “win” to end the locker room discussion.

There is still no update on the Lions’ superstar middle linebacker, as Campbell attempted to tackle Vikings tight end TJ Hockenson, and his neck and back appeared to crunch in a scary scene.

The game had to go to multiple TV timeouts as they stretchered him off the field in an ambulance.

The Lions will likely be without Campbell going forward, but the real concern is for the star’s well-being as there has been no update that he has feeling in his extremities, as the NFL community waits for a positive update from the team.

As of Sunday night, Campbell was resting in a hospital bed with no further update beyond that.
