‘Pluribus’ Season 2 Release Date Info: When Does ‘Pluribus’ Season 2 Come Out On Apple TV?

Two months after Pluribus took home six Emmy awards — including long-overdue wins for Vince Gilligan and Rhea Seehorn — fans of Apple TV‘s genre-bending series are counting down the days until Season 2 premieres — or they’re trying to, at least!

It’s been nearly a year since Gilligan’s acclaimed sci-fi series aired its eventful Season 1 finale and left viewers with several major cliffhangers, burning questions, and a literal atomic bomb. So needless to say, everyone’s eager to see what Season 2 has in store for Carol (Seehorn), Manousos (Carlos-Manuel Vesga), Zosia (Karolina Wydra), Mr. Diabaté (Samba Schutte), and the rest of the hive mind.

Will Carol and Manousos save the world? Will Zosia successfully turn Carol into a hive member against her will? Will we get more iconic Better Call Saul cameos? And crucially, when will Pluribus return with new episodes?

When is Pluribus Season 2’s release date? Has Pluribus Season 2 started filming? And what will Pluribus Season 2 be about? Here’s what we know about the future of Apple TV’s hit series.

Will There Be A Season 2 Of Pluribus On Apple TV? Pluribus Season 2 Renewal Status:

You bet! In case you didn’t know, Pluribus Season 2 is already a go. In fact, the series was picked up for a second season before Season 1 even premiered. A smart and unsurprising move, considering the series became the most-watched drama in Apple TV history and is officially an Emmy winner!

Has Pluribus Season 2 Started Filming?

At the 2026 Emmys in September, Karolina Wydra confirmed on the red carpet that filming would begin “very, very soon,” and she was right! Production on Pluribus Season 2 reportedly kicked off in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 31, 2026, with reports of a long 225-day shoot ahead. If that timeline is correct, the series would likely wrap Season 2 filming around mid-June 2027, which means that Gilligan really wasn’t lying when he warned fans (and his mom) that they’d have to wait a while for new episodes to arrive. So when can fans expect Season 2?

When Does Pluribus Season 2 Come Out? Pluribus Season 2 Release Date Info:

There’s currently no Pluribus Season 2 premiere date on the books, but if filming wraps in summer 2027 and the months of post-production required, it sounds like Pluribus won’t make its return until 2028. But stay tuned for more Season 2 updates! In the meantime, read on to refresh yourself on Pluribus‘ Season 1 finale and Decider’s in-depth coverage and interviews.

If you need a refresher on Pluribus‘ Season 1 finale, Decider’s got you covered. The brilliant brain of Vince Gilligan is delightfully unpredictable, so naturally, we’ll have to wait and see what twists, turns, and surprises Pluribus Season 2 has in store. But based on the plot of the show and the events of Season 1’s finale, it’s clear that we’ll continue watching Carol — and her new neighbor, Manousos — work to save the world, and crucially, themselves from being turned. We know that Carol’s stem cells are being obtained from her frozen eggs against her will, and that she has one to three months until The Others figure out how to tailor the virus and change her. So the clock is ticking!

After chatting with Samba Schutte, who plays Mr. Diabaté, we also hope that Season 2 will take a deeper look at the 12 other immune people (now 11, without Kusimayu) besides Carol. Give us some backstories, Day 1 flashbacks, or present-day check-ins. (Laxmi, we miss you!) And although Zosia left Carol behind in the finale, we need to see more of her and The Others in Season 2. Not to mention, we have a whole list of burning questions we’d love answered! Essentially, we want more of everything that made Season 1 great, and Gilligan to take more risks and reveal more jaw-droppingly clever twists in Season 2.
