Estranged husband kidnaps wife, kills them both in murder-suicide: cops

A Texas mom of two was kidnapped by her estranged husband — who then killed them both in a murder-suicide after a high-speed police chase, according to authorities.

Bianca Garza, 34, had just dropped off one of her children at school last Thursday when she took her new boyfriend with her for what was supposed to be a “civil conversation” with her husband, Axel Ramirez, 34, Burleson Police Chief Billy Cordell told reporters.

Ramirez instead forced his estranged wife — who graduated nursing school just weeks earlier — to get into his car at gunpoint and then sped off.

Both Garza and her horrified boyfriend called 911 to report her kidnapping, sparking a 34-minute, 25-mile chase that often topped 100 miles per hour, the police chief said.

The pursuit ended near Borland Field Airport in Crescent — where police found Garza and Ramirez both dead in the car from gunshot wounds in what cops confirmed it was a murder-suicide.

Police have not said what motivated the shooting but said that Ramirez moved out of their family home in August after separating. There had been no previous calls to the house, police said, while noting that domestic violence is often not reported.

Garza, who was affectionately known as “Bibi,” had just graduated from nursing school this month and was a mother to two daughters, ages 9 and 14, WKRC reported.

Her new boyfriend, Ezekiel Cain, posted a heartbreaking tribute on Facebook.

“I will never stop loving you Bibi Ramirez, you were [taken] from this world too soon. In a short time, you showed genuine love and kindness to our little family!” he wrote.

“[I] promised to always love and protect you, I’m so sorry!!! Please know that I loved you dearly and will always look out for our daughters!

An online fundraiser said that “Bibi loved God, music, animals (especially dogs), and, above all, her family.

“She had a generous heart, a caring spirit, and a genuine passion for helping people. Nursing wasn’t simply her career. It was her calling.”
